Centers for Nature Education at Baltimore Woods in Marcellus presents the annual Herb, Perennial, and Hanging Basket Sale on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 - 2:00. A special Members-only sale will precede this public event on Friday, May 16, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Interpretive Center and will be held rain or shine. Visa and Mastercard accepted.

As usual, we will be promoting habitat gardening, pollinators, and avoiding invasive species. This year, the fundraiser has a special emphasis on being pollinator-friendly. Pollinators like bees make our world go 'round - and they are declining in numbers so great as to receive world-wide attention! With wild bees and the flowers they pollinate disappearing more and more each year in what may be leading to a pollination crisis - please consider making your garden pollinator friendly!

These hanging plants are the first to go!

In coordination with this theme, the Plant Committee has carefully selected some native plants to sell which will encourage important pollinators to visit your garden. We shall again have our popular Herb Raffle with many garden themed prizes. Eat at our Garden Cafe featuring wonderful baked goods, hot dogs, salads, and beverages.
