Every SaturdayJohn A. Weeks Bird Club Walk - 7:30am
Join fellow birders for a morning walk at Baltimore Woods every Saturday. We will gather at the Interpretive Center and choose our course from there.

Bird and Bug Bingo Fri. 7thNatural BINGO Night
Enjoy this familiar game with a natural twist. You don’t have to be a nature expert to play, but you may walk away as one! Refreshments with admission,prizes for every BINGO! Please register!Members $4, families $12, nonmembers $6, $18 family.

Telescope Fri. 14thPlanet Party 7:30-10pm
Enjoy CNE’s Star Parties as astronomer Bob Piekiel will have telescopes on hand to provide up close views of the many planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus) in the night sky as summer turns to fall. Back-up date Sept. 15. Please register! Members $2, families $5, non-members $5, families $15.

Learn how to speak out for the environment with Urban Naturalist Lee Gechas. The cost is free to members, $3 for non-members. Please register!

You can join Jeff Devine and his "A Team" (to work the trails) or Olga White (to work the gardens) each Wednesday, and we will treat you to lunch on the third Wednesday of each month. So come get involved and become a part of CNE's future.

Wed. 19thVolunteer Educator Info Meeting 1-2pm
CNE is looking for volunteers with education experience or just a passion for sharing nature with others. If you are interested in helping specifically with school groups, join the rest of the volunteer crew for lunch at the Weed ‘N Feed and stay after to talk with Program Manager Matt Kauffman and Environmental Educator Jen Bryz-Gornia to find out how you can get involved. Sat. 22ndnaturalist Volunteer Weekend Naturalist Info Meeting 10:30-Noon
Do you love the outdoors? Want to learn more about nature and how to share that knowledge with others? If so, CNE needs you to become a weekend naturalist. If you have a few hours on a Saturday that you could regularly give to sharing the natural wonders of Baltimore Woods with its visitors, then join Program Manager and naturalist Matt Kauffman for a tour that will both inform you about the natural world and prepare you to effectively communicate your passion and knowledge to others. Sat. 22nd Snakes 101 - For Fearful Parents 10:30-11:30am
If you are like most folks, you have some fear of snakes. CNE is offering a class for parents who are afraid of snakes, but don’t want to pass that phobia on to their children. Join naturalist Ryan Chatfield for this engaging study of snakes where you’ll observe live snakes up close and have a chance to overcome your fear by handling a live snake. Please register, this program is for adults (18+) only! Members $2, families $5, non-members $5, families $15.

moonThe full moons of autumn are well known in the folklore of the sky. Have you ever wondered what a harvest moon actually is and why we celebrate it? Learn the answers to these questions and more while experiencing the tranquility of Baltimore Woods under September's Harvest Moon with this guided walk by Environmental Educator, Jen Bryz-Gornia. Sat. 29thBug Bonanza 12-4pm
Bring an open mouth and open mind to Baltimore Woods for CNE’s Bug Bonanza! Entomophagist, or edible insect expert,David Gracer Beetlewill be on hand from Noon-4pm to lead participants on a culinary adventure. First, out to field and forest foraging for fare, then back inside to learn the finer points of entomophagy before cooking up a buggy buffet of delicious dishes. Side attractions will include LIVE creepy crawlies from Cornell’s Entomology Department. Curious what to expect? Check out some pictures from last year's Bug Bonanza!
